Moovy No. 7
by Tom Hamann

Original kinetic wall object, powered by an electric motor,
built in 2006, consisting of four hand-sawed forms made of
wood panels, which are coated with red, white, black,
yellow and blue. Diameter of object: Appr. 180 cm
(appr. 71 in), signed and titled on the reverse side of the work.

Moovy-objects by Tom Hamann were first presented to the public
at the International Art Fair in Zurich, Switzerland in 2006, through
the Galerie Menssen. Typical characteristics of these fascinating
objects are the layers superimposed on top of each other, each
turning in opposite directions. Their different colour schemes,
particular movements and visual effects, make these objects
so interesting, underlining the great expressiveness they have
to offer! Each Moovy is handbuilt by the artist and unique among
the other works of the Moovy-series.
