Moovy 10
by Tom Hamann

Original kinetic wall object, powered by an electric motor,
built in 2008, consisting of four laser-cut forms made of
dibond aluminium panels, which are coated with white
red and black. This work is further characterized by another
form made of acrylic glas. Diameter of object: Appr. 145 cm
(appr. 57 in), signed and titled on the reverse side of the work.

Moovy-objects by Tom Hamann were first presented to the public
at the International Art Fair in Zurich, Switzerland in 2006, through
the Galerie Menssen. Typical characteristics of these fascinating
objects are the layers superimposed on top of each other, each
turning in opposite directions. Their different colour schemes,
particular movements and visual effects, make these objects
so interesting, underlining the great expressiveness they have
to offer! Each Moovy is handbuilt by the artist and unique among
the other works of the Moovy-series.
