Presentation of Tom Hamann’s new kinetic wall object

Two weeks after the unveiling of a new work by Prof. Karsten Hein at the gallery, the artist Tom Hamann presented his new kinetic wall object at the Galerie Menssen: MOOVY No. 9. The fascinating object, consists of several superimposed as well as suspended surfaces, turning eccentrically and in opposite directions. It is the first work within the Moovy-series, where the forms are no longer made of glued wood, but alu-dibond. Moreover, the colouring of each component was achieved for the first time in a perfect, high-gloss finish. Also the revision of the entire drive mechanism has an impact not only on the smooth running of the surfaces, it makes the work of art when set in motion much more silent as well. Besides the presentation of this new work of art, which was reported on by a local television report of Norderstedt, the Galerie Menssen exhibited new graphic editions and unique editions of the likeable artist.
